Alyssa was a joy to interview. I’m so glad she was able to come on my show to share her experience with prayer journaling. The step-by-step tips she gave were a great catalyst for my listeners and myself! Thank you again for coming to our True Love Waits
rally. As you know, this was not the first time for a
WHS rally promoting TLW, but I think this was the best
one. We made a real effort to cross school, racial,
and church lines, and I was very pleased to see at
least sixty in attendance. (Good guess, you think?)

Your testimony was so good. You blended personal
experience, Scripture, and straight-from-the-hip
advice in an appropriate and effective way. Your
message is one that teenagers need to hear and heed
more often.

The concept of commitment, of which you spoke with
conviction, has become a foreign word in almost all
areas of our lives. In fact, next to my concern about
the lostness and immorality in the world, it is the
thing that distresses me most. So, anyone who can
emphasize the value of commitments is a champion to
me.

Thank you again for your help, especially since you
came to my aid at the last minute and since you came
despite the fact that you weren’t feeling well. God
bless you in all your endeavors!!

Having Alyssa present her Queen Esther “spa night” program was a highlight of our 6th grade mother/daughter retreat. She made each mom and daughter feel truly special and was able to show each girl how unique she was in God’s eyes. She has a great capability to communicate with pre-teens and teach them Biblical wisdom in a manner that is relevant to their life. I would definetly recommend Alyssa and plan to have her back for future events.

Children’s Minister Bowmar Baptist Church Vicksburg, MS

Friday evening I spent a couple hours with the 6th grade girls and their moms at Bowmar Baptist Church in Vicksburg, MS. We had a fabulous evening of learning from Queen Esther how to become a “princess in God’s court.” Then, we got our own beauty treatments and relaxing through a fun spa night!

Here’s what some of the girl’s had to say about the night…..

Question: What was the best thing about this event?

• The Spa treatment and learning about Esther, Lauren, 12.
• I thought the whole thing was very enjoyable and awesome, Haley, 12.

And the moms had a great time too!

• I loved being able to do this with my daughter and watching her enjoy it., a mom.

Our teenage girls are still talking about Alyssa, and her ability to communicate the Gospel while making the girls feel beautiful. Her ministry is a one of a kind, and God is using Alyssa to impact the lives of young ladies. Alyssa Avant brought a “church growth” focused speaking experience to our church at West Jordan Baptist Church. She is an exciting gifted speaker. She would do any topical format with energy and God given directives. I have found her ability to communicate Biblically sound with freshness. God has certainly gifted this upcoming gifted speaker.

Alyssa Avant is the most energetic, organized ball of fire I have ever had the privilege of working with. She is a wonderful, devoted Christian young woman who loves the Lord and strives to do his will.

As a committed youth and children’s minister at our church, Alyssa is constantly finding ways of keeping the kids occupied with activities that are always fun. She has a full plate, managing to direct VBS, youth Bible study, youth Sunday school, children’s choir, SOK, (Summer Outing for Kids) and scheduling activities for both the youth and children on a monthly basis. On top of that, she attends seminary and is a busy wife and mother of a two-year-old.

My children, ages 9 and 16 think the world of her. And my teen knows that if he has a problem that he can talk it out with Alyssa. She has a heart for the children of our church and the community at large.
