“The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23 |
Issue 51, March 11, 2008 Hello Everyone!
Wow! I hate being late and am I
ever late getting out this week’s ezine.
Sincere apologies. But,
I do have a good excuse. God
has been doing so much in my life that I can’t seem to keep up with it
all so that’s a good reason huh?
Yes, I had several God
days this past week. Have
ya’ll heard that country song, “I Saw God Today” ? It is such a
good song and as I rode home one night last week after having several of
what I have been referring to as “God days’ I was in awe of that
song. I love how God can
use secular music to bring glory to Himself.
Anyway, I wanted to share
my blog entry from this week on one of my God days. I hope it will
inspire and encourage you. I
called the post “It’s a God Kinda Day” It’s
one of those days, where you can feel God’s presence and you know He
is there, moving, working, being HIM. I know I feel God’s
presence every day, but some days, like today, the feeling is so strong
there is no way you can ignore it, shake it or in my case keep from
sharing it. When I have a God day like today I have to tell
everyone! Luckily, I have friends in my life who share my sensing
of these days and call me or text me to talk about it. This
happened today. So, it was fun to share. I am so
blessed to have friends who understand these kinda days. These
kinda days make life worth living. They reassure me that God has a
plan, is in control and wants the BEST for us. As the words of
Jeremiah 29:11 say, “For I know the plans I have for you declares the
Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you
a hope and a future.” Tonight,
as I was teaching a group of Acteens at our church about “Saying Yes
to God” I realized that not only do young people have to
make the decision to follow God’s plan for their lives and find
God’s will for them, but us adults do too and that decision isn’t
one we make one time and stop. We have to make that decision
everyday. It isn’t just about BIG life decisions but about the
small ones too. I
blogged earlier today on my personal website about living your life with
passion.
I hope you’ll go over there and read it. I
also finally got out this week’s podcast, a little late, but it’s
finally up and it’s about Hearing God’s Voice and Saying Yes to God.
