Reflecting on the Past, Looking Towards the Future

As we begin a new year, as many others are doing I’m sure I’ve been doing some reflecting and planning.  I reflect on the past, not to remember my mistakes, but to remember my victories.  I have been speaking, writing, and ministering as Beauty by Design Ministries since 2005.  This website and blog officially went up in 2006.

Each year since 2006 I have done multiple speaking engagements, which was one of my goals. This past year, 2008, I spoke at the following churches / organizations:

West Carthage Baptist Church, Carthage, MS

Baptist Student Union, Holmes Community College, Goodman, MS

First Baptist Church, Tupelo, MS

Fellowship Church of the Nazarene, Houston, MS

She Speaks Conference, Concord, NC

First United Methodist Church, Senatobia, MS

North Winona Baptist Church, Winona, MS

I have also begun doing a great deal of writing online.  This year I hope to take more of that writing offline as well, as one of my goals is to be published in a well-known Christian publication. For the past couple of years now I have been writing a monthly column for the North Mississippi Christian Family Magazine which I will continue to do as well.

The Lord has placed certain goals and dreams on my heart that I will begin pursuing.  I have seen him work through me in the past and I know he will continue to in the future.  The past couple of years especially have been a result of his love, grace, and faithfulness.

After resigning from my paid church ministry position to live by faith daily and commit myself to this ministry I have seen God provide for us again and again.  I praise and thank Him for doing so, and I give testimony to His provision.
