Former Model Reveals Secrets of Charm & Poise to New Generation
Soon to be Released Book to Charm Parents and Teens

September 26, 2008 (Carrollton, MS) -  Parents and Youth Group Leaders concerned about the cultural influences of television, music and the Internet on their teens will soon have a new tool to combat social pressure.  On September 30th, Christian Charm School will be released by Beauty by Design Ministries. The latest e-book from author and speaker Alyssa Avant, covers four workshop sessions to help teen and pre-teen girls through appropriate development in all areas of their life, not just beauty and etiquette but also in building confidence, spiritual growth and communication skills.

“Parents I’ve talked to through my ministry are rightly concerned about the world their children are growing up in,” says Avant, “but by helping their children develop politeness, poise and confidence can help the whole family stand strong against peer pressure.”

As a former teen model, Avant has been sharing her experience and message as a public speaker and writer through her Beauty By Design Ministry since 2005. The book is best utilized as part of a group program, though all the lessons can be read and applied individually.

“Teens have a habit of tuning out their parents,” says Avant, “they are at an age where peer influence can have much more sway, so hearing the message from someone who has been there and has maintained their faith can help bridge the generation gap.”
