With God, All Things Are Possible

After having my third child, my friends threw me an impromptu baby shower.  One of the gifts they gave me was a small plaque with a cross and the words “With God All Things are Possible” etched on it.  Right now the plaque sits on the corner of my desk.  It is important to me.  It is a reminder to me, a constant reminder that what it says is true, even on my bad days.

How do you handle your bad days?  Let’s face it we all have them.  We all have good days where our hair does just right, our kids act like they should, we get a lot done in work and around the house, we feel accomplished, able and capable and then there are those days that seem to be just the opposite of that in every way imaginable.  However, even on those days, God is still in control.

I have been challenged and reminded this week of God’s control on my life.  Even though I want to feel in control and be the one in charge in my life, that just cannot be the case, because if the Lord is truly the Lord of and Savior in my life, he has to be the one that is in control.  Am I the only person who has trouble with that?  So, for us to truly get the true benefits of the possibilities that having God in control in our lives can bring we first must release that control to Him.

Yep that’s right we have to give up control and place it in His ever capable, more powerful hands.  Will you join me in allowing God to be in control in your life, the God who has the power to do anything and with who ALL things are possible!

So very true. When I give up control my life blooms. When I try to hold on and do it myself it becomes wasted effort.

    Excellent post!
