Hello Everyone!
Well, my week last week turned out much different than I had expected. We got to New Orleans, got terribly lost and quite rattled with our nerves, my grandmother made herself sick she was so nervous so we ended up coming home early. What a mess! I did learn a thing or two from the experience. One of which is that God will be in control whether you like it or not. I’m not saying I didn’t want him in control, but I feel that after I did everything that I had not prayed about the situation enough. I just feel God took over and said, “Alyssa, the timing isn’t right, you need to do this some other time.” So, that’s what will happen.
Timing is an important thing in our lives. I believe just as the Bible says that there is a “time for everything.” I don’t believe in good luck or good karma or whatever else there might be out there, but I do believe that God’s timing is best and that sometimes His timing and our timing do not align and that it is best for us to succumb to his plans rather than trying to be in control.
One of the things my parents always told me was in God’s hands was when I would meet my future mate. I wanted so badly from a fairly young age to know who I would marry. I think that is something every young girl fantasizes about at one point or another. If I had rushed things, I could have easily ended up in the wrong relationship.
